  The put-in location is a short drive from Little Rock-North Little Rock, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The scenic beauty of Saline County and the water flowing gracefully down Lake Norrell Spillway have people coming here. This is a very short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Ouachita Mountains scenery
    is wonderful. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This section of Lake Norrell Spillway in Saline County is 0.2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section. There are campgrounds
quite near the river where you can camp. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. This is the only paddling section along Lake Norrell Spillway. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arkansas is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding.
