This section of Lee Creek is 8.4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. The nature scenery of Crawford Washington County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Whitewater paddling here in the Boston Mountains
is a great experience. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those
in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Devils Den State Park to Highway 220 section is one of them. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
