This section of Little Missouri River in Arkansas is 11.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Getting     your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. When you're paddling down a Ouachita Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Briefly about the general area: Little Missouri River typically gets a good deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January.   Through the warm months highs here at Little Missouri River reach the 90's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Little Missouri River temperatures plunge to the 20's.
