This section of Little Missouri River is 5.2 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The Narrows Dam to CR 222 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system.     There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beauty of the Ouachita Mountains is a great plus for this river. Briefly about the general area: This site, the Ouachita Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Little Missouri River regularly gets much precipitation; throughout the month of May you   get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. A cool spot to check out close to Little Missouri River is Hinds Bluff, and great hiking is available along the Kizzia Trail. All through the warm months at Little Missouri River temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and the night is rather chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Little Missouri River temperatures dip to the 20's.
