This section of Little Missouri River in Arkansas is 5.2 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Hope, as you can see on the road map further down. The campgrounds here at Little Missouri River are pretty good. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often more forgiving than in other states, so don't forget that the     rivers in this state are less demanding. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Narrows Dam to CR 222 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The wild scenery of the Ouachita Mountains is great. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Little Missouri River without first checking out Hinds Bluff, and the Kizzia Trail is a great hiking trail close by. High temperatures at Little Missouri River through the long   summer days are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Little Missouri River. Be careful coming to the Ouachita Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Little Missouri River gets a good deal of water; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is mostly the driest month.
