This section of Little Mulberry Creek is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The County Road 104 to County Road 105 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. If you've been whitewater
rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.
The beauty of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
Briefly about the general area: At Little Mulberry Creek during the summertime months highs are in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Little Mulberry Creek.
Don't leave Little Mulberry Creek without first going for a hike along the Ozark Highlands Trail, and since you're here why not stop by Clifty Hollow. Little Mulberry Creek gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls throughout May, and January on the other hand is the driest.
That right there is loads of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Boston Mountains has it all. Ozark National Forest is a splendid local forest.
