The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arkansas is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. This section of Little Mulberry Creek is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of
paddling rivers. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get
to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well.
Briefly about the general area: The high level of precipitation makes Little Mulberry Creek a relatively wet place; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. That right there is plenty of exciting things already but it goes on, the Boston Mountains has it all. Ozark National Forest
is a tremendous local forest. While staying at Little Mulberry Creek you could always explore Clifty Hollow; nearby you find the Ozark Highlands Trail which is a great hiking trail. At Little Mulberry Creek through the summer highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures
fall down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Little Mulberry Creek dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
