The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The wonderful Madison County scenery and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent
or park your RV at a nearby campground. The County Road 104 to County Road 105 section of Little Mulberry Creek in Arkansas is 5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-IV section of whitewater. The County Road 104 to County Road 105 section is one of a few
paddling sections in this river system. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery.
Briefly about the general area: Ozark National Forest is a great local forest, and close by you discover Clifty Hollow which is a perfect location to explore. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Boston Mountains, not enough time. Why not take
a refreshing hike along the Ozark Highlands Trail. A large amount of rain falls at Little Mulberry Creek; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is January. Through the summer months highs here at Little Mulberry Creek get into the 90's. For the
period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are typically in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Little Mulberry Creek drop into the 20's.
