The beautiful scenery of Arkansas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Mountain Home, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with
plenty of spots for that. This stretch of Meadow Creek in Arkansas is 6.3 miles long and has been rated as a class III+ section by American Whitewater. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. This is a pretty decent length
section, good for a one day paddling trip. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Meadow Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the CR 1 to CR 3 section is the only one.

Through the summertime highs here at Meadow Creek reach the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Meadow Creek temperatures descend to the 20's. Adams Hollow is a brilliant place to spend some time at.
