  The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. The nature scenery of Stone County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The put-in is not too far from Mountain Home, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t
    get lost. The CR 1 to CR 3 section of Meadow Creek is 6.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+ section. There are no other sections to paddle along Meadow Creek than the CR 1 to CR 3 section. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get
to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. There's camping available near Meadow Creek.

At Meadow Creek throughout the days of summer highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime
 
come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Meadow Creek dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Meadow Creek gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January.
A delightful location next to Meadow Creek is Adams Hollow.
