county,
CR 1 to CR 3 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS III+ 6.3 miles
The scenic beauty of Stone County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The put-in is not too far from Mountain Home, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The CR 1 to CR 3 section of Meadow Creek in Stone County is 6.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III+ section.
This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Boston Mountains scenery is wonderful. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your
car. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There are no other stretches to paddle along Meadow Creek than the CR 1 to CR 3 stretch.
