  This section of Mill Creek in Arkansas is 5.2 miles long and has been rated as a class III+ section by American Whitewater. The Devil's Canyon to Highway 215 stretch is the only paddling stretch along Mill Creek. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations
    in advance you're all set. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Arkansas you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon
trip. The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The Boston Mountains scenery is wonderful.

Briefly about the general area:
For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 90's at Mill Creek with overnight lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Mill Creek temperatures fall to the 20's. Fern Spring is a fine local attraction, and a perfect site to take a look at is Devils Canyon.

to do in the Boston Mountains, not enough time. Mill Creek is a pretty wet place usually with a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
