The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is the only     paddling section along Mill Creek. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. When you're paddling down a Ouachita Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Mill Creek. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Mill Creek temperatures descend to the 20's.
