Moore Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Highway 246 to Highway 278/4 section is the only one. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. Whitewater paddling here in the Ouachita Mountains is a great experience. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Moore Creek a wet spot; May is when you get the most rain here; January is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Moore Creek through the summer months   are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Moore Creek fall into the 20's.
