The Headwaters to Mill Creek section of Mormon Creek in Franklin County is 1.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV(V) section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beautiful Boston Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Mormon Creek than the Headwaters to Mill Creek stretch. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more.

The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Mormon Creek. Fern Spring is always fun to check out.
