This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. And of course, there
are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so better bring your camping gear along. Getting your
paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The beauty of the Ouachita Mountains is a great plus for this river.
