The USFS Dragover section of Ouachita River in Arkansas is 2.9 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arkansas is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The
wild scenery of the Ouachita Mountains is great. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The natural beauty of Montgomery County and the beautiful
way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
