The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Harrison, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. This section of Sandy Springs Hollow is 2 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV+ section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. When you're paddling down a Boston Mountains river like this
one you always get great scenery along the way too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The Deer to Murray stretch is the only paddling stretch along Sandy Springs Hollow. Getting some good
exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
