The put-in is not too far from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. The Richland Creek Campground to NFR 1201 section of Richland Creek in Searcy County is 8.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III(IV) section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There aren’t any hotels     right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Whitewater paddling here in the Boston Mountains is a great experience. The Richland Creek Campground to NFR 1201 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Briefly about the general area: All through the warm months here at Richland Creek, high   temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Richland Creek temperatures drop to the 20's. Richland Creek sees pretty high levels of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
