The Richland Creek Campground to NFR 1201 section of Richland Creek in Arkansas is 8.5 miles long and is a class II-III(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that the rivers
    in this state are less demanding. There's camping available near Richland Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The wonderful Searcy County scenery
and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning  
trip. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come.

You might want to pay a visit to Armstrong Hollow while you're here at Richland Creek. You'll meet a lot of folks from Witts Springs here, and going for a hike along the Hideout Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. While you're here at Richland Creek you can take a hike along the Pedestal Rocks Trail. Richland Creek is a pretty wet place usually with a great deal of rain.
