The put-in location is a short drive from Hot Springs, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The nature scenery of Garland County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The wild scenery of the Ouachita Mountains is great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are     lots of good places for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is an extremely short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over.
