Mammoth Spring to Hardy section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS I-II 15 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. This section of Spring River in Arkansas is 15 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. The beautiful scenery of Arkansas and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds
nearby. The Boston Mountains scenery is wonderful. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. There are many good hotels to choose from, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch is long enough
for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other spots for that.
