The Mammoth Spring to Hardy section of Spring River in Arkansas is 15 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The natural beauty of Arkansas and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. to look hard for hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Mammoth Spring to Hardy section is one of them.
Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. The Boston Mountains scenery is wonderful.
Briefly about the general area: A magnificent location near Spring River is Onion Hollow, and no need to travel far to stop by interesting stuff like Horseshoe Bend.
