The Mammoth Spring to Hardy section of Spring River in Arkansas is 15 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The river winds through
the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. The natural beauty of Fulton/Sharp County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. No matter if you're
whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
