This stretch of War Eagle Creek is 38 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way     in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The scenic beauty of Madison Washington Benton County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. The Highway 23 to War Eagle Mill stretch is the only paddling stretch along War Eagle Creek. The campgrounds here at War Eagle Creek are pretty good. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The river winds through the Ozarks and you get great scenery. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in   Arkansas are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding.
