This stretch of White River - West Fork is 11 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're coming from Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camp stove too. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't
matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. The scenic beauty of Washington County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often more forgiving than in other states,
so better not forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The beauty of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
