Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. This stretch of White River - West Fork in Washington County is 11 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The nature scenery of Washington County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. Whether
you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater paddling here in the Boston Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is long enough for an overnight
trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you're coming from Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page.

the night is somewhat colder of course, generally in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's while White River - West Fork night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's.
