This section of American River - South Fork in El Dorado County is 9.4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The beautiful scenery of El Dorado County and the cool fresh water have people coming     here. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. The Peavine Ridge Road to Forebay Road stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system.
