This stretch of Antelope Creek in Tehama County is 20 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Red Bluff, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of California and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions
for lots of people. This is the only paddling stretch along Antelope Creek. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do
book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in California are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. The river winds through the Northern Sierra Nevada and you get great scenery. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

Antelope Creek gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month.
