If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you     can camp. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other spots. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. The Above Waterfalls to Mines Road bridge section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Briefly about the general area: At Arroyo Mocho River during the summertime highs are in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 60's. The wintertime comes   with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Arroyo Mocho River. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Mud Springs; don't leave Arroyo Mocho River without first paying a visit to Mendenhall Springs. Arroyo Mocho River is a location that is rather dehydrated mostly; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is ordinarily the driest month.
