There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. If you're coming from Red Bluff
it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Close to Ponderosa Way to Manton Road section is one of them. This section is
long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The beautiful Southern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus.
