If you're coming from Clearlake it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside California you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your sleeping bag.     No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. The beautiful scenery of California and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.
