Bear Creek Confluence to Rumsey section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS III 9 miles
The beautiful scenery of Yolo County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This section of Cache Creek in California is 9 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are a few other stretches
in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often
tougher than elsewhere, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you're coming from Napa it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip.
