For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This is the only paddling stretch along Camp Creek. The scenic beauty     of El Dorado County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camping stuff. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful. Briefly about the general area: Camp Creek gets lots of water; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.
