Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The beautiful Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is an added bonus. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. A good workout and spending     some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The Fleming Meadows trailhead to Happy Valley Road stretch is the only paddling stretch along Camp Creek. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. This section of Camp Creek in California is 10.1 miles long and it is classified as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Camp Creek sees pretty high levels of rainfall; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. While staying at Camp Creek you could always look at Boles Gap. Throughout the months of summer at Camp Creek temperatures are commonly in the 80's.   For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Camp Creek dip into the 30's.
