CLASS III-IV 8.5 miles
There is more good class IV and a class V run upstream. Says Nuskool
The wonderful Trinity County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Canyon Creek have people coming here. The Bridge 8.5 miles upstream of Junction City to Junction City stretch of Canyon Creek in California is 8.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers
here are not as easy as elsewhere. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. Canyon Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Bridge 8.5 miles upstream of Junction City to Junction
City section is the only one. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. The beauty of the Klamath Mountains is a great plus for this river. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip.
