Bridge 8.5 miles upstream of Junction City to Junction City section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS III-IV 8.5 miles
There is more good class IV and a class V run upstream. Says Nuskool
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in California are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came.
This is the only paddling stretch along Canyon Creek. The natural beauty of California and the water flowing gracefully down Canyon Creek beats anything. This section of Canyon Creek in Trinity County is 8.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class
III-IV section. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. The beauty of the Klamath Mountains is a great plus for this river. There's camping available near Canyon Creek.
