This stretch of Clavey River is 8.5 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Upper Bridge to Lower Bridge section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch has has enough mileage,
good for a one day paddling trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while
are great reasons to come. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Sierra Nevada is a great experience.
