  The natural beauty of Tuolumne County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. This stretch of Clavey River is 8.5 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Upper Bridge to Lower Bridge section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch has has enough mileage,
    good for a one day paddling trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while
are great reasons to come. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Sierra Nevada is a great experience. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
