  The nature scenery of Siskiyou County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The Bear Pen Creek to Klamath River section of Trace Creek in Siskiyou County is 7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V section of whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. The beautiful Klamath Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Trace Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Bear Pen Creek to Klamath River section
    is the only one. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy.
