This stretch of Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary in Shasta County is 16 miles long and has been rated as a class IV(V+) section by American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you     don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camping stuff. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more.
