The put-in is not too far from Madera, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll     find a large number of good places. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. The wild scenery of the Central Sierra Nevada is great. The scenic beauty of Madera County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The Coarsegold to Spinelli Road section is the only paddling section along Coarse Gold Creek. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners.
