California whitewater - Coffee Creek, Klamath Mountains, Trinity County Trinity county, Coffee Creek Road to Trinity River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS III-IV     10 miles   The Coffee Creek Road to Trinity River stretch of Coffee Creek in California is 10 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The beautiful scenery of Trinity County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general     area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There are no other sections to paddle along Coffee Creek than the Coffee Creek Road to Trinity River section. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Klamath Mountains scenery is wonderful. Briefly about the general area: Coffee Creek gets very little rain; most of the rain falls throughout December; the driest month is July. At Coffee Creek during the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier   of course, regularly in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Coffee Creek.
