Whitewater paddling here in the Central Sierra Nevada is a great experience. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if     you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
