This stretch of Dinkey Creek in California is 1.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There's camping     available near Dinkey Creek. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Old mine trail to National Forest Kings confluence section is just one of them. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The beautiful Central Sierra Nevada scenery is an added bonus. Dinkey Creek gets a normal amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is January, and July on the other hand is the driest. Just can't get enough   of the Central Sierra Nevada. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Dinkey Creek while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Dinkey Creek dip into the 20's.
