CLASS II 22.1 miles

This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The average whitewater rafting
or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will
make you glad you came. This is the only paddling section along Eel River. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. The beautiful Coast Ranges scenery is an added bonus. There's camping available near Eel River. The wonderful California scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great.
