The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This section of Eel River - North Fork in Trinity/ Mendocino County is 12 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive     a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
