The nature scenery of Trinity/ Mendocino County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well.     You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. The wild scenery of the Coast Ranges is great. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Eel River - North Fork get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
