This section of Feather River - Middle Fork in California is 32.5 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time
in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The Nelson Point to Milsap Bridge stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The river winds through the Northern Sierra Nevada and you get great scenery.
Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners.
