  The wonderful Plumas/ Butte County scenery and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area:
Feather River - Middle Fork is a wet location that gets much precipitation; January is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest
 
month of the year is July. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return home again. If you're here, you might as well go to Butte Bar, and taking a little spree to nearby Stag Point is a nice idea.
Lots of fun awaits you along this river. For the period of the summer here at Feather River - Middle Fork, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Feather River - Middle Fork.
