This section of Feather River - North Fork is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Sierra Nevada is a great experience. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The wonderful Plumas County scenery and the beautiful way the

Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.
