This section of Feather River - North Fork in Plumas County is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. The scenic beauty of Plumas County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. This is not the only paddling section in this river     system, there are others too. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There's camping available near Feather River - North Fork. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Sierra Nevada is a great experience. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Chico, as you can see on the road map further down.
