If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is an added bonus. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near.
