Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch of Feather River - North Fork in California is 10 miles long and has been rated as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep     in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful.
