The scenic beauty of California and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The river winds through the Southern Sierra Nevada and you get great scenery. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Above Gateway Bridge to Dinley Bridge section is just one of them. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are
great attractions for lots of people. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large
number of good rivers. This section is quite short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over.
