The Dinley Bridge to North Fork Bridge stretch of Kaweah River in California is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-V section. The starting point is not too far from Visalia-Porterville, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Dinley Bridge to North Fork Bridge section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. people coming here. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start
over and over. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The wild scenery of the Southern Sierra Nevada is great. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
Briefly about the general area: A journey to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is worthwhile. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Kaweah River reach the 90's,
and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Kaweah River during the winter regularly drop into the 30's. Kaweah River gets a normal amount of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest.
