The starting location is a short drive from Visalia-Porterville, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The wild scenery of the Southern Sierra Nevada is great. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. There are some good hotels near the river,     but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section of Kaweah River in California is 3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-V section of whitewater. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Dinley Bridge to North Fork Bridge stretch is just one of them. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside California you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Briefly about the general area: The yearly precipitation here at Kaweah River is about average; during January this area sees the most rain, and July   meanwhile is the driest month. The panoramas at Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park will blow your mind. For the period of the summer months highs here at Kaweah River get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Kaweah River.
