The beautiful scenery of California and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are some good hotels near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The North Fork Bridge     to Lake Kaweah stretch of Kaweah River is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The Southern Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful. Briefly about the general area: Kaweah River gets a common amount of annual rain; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Kaweah River throughout   the long summer days are in the 90's, and the night is slightly colder of course, usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Kaweah River are in the 30's. All our national parks are glorious spots to explore, and Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is no exception.
