The Hospital Rock stretch of Kaweah River - Middle Fork in California is 4.8 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful California scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd     better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. The Hospital Rock section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. Whitewater paddling here in the Southern Sierra Nevada is a great experience. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip.
