Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The wild scenery of the Southern Sierra Nevada is great. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. Getting     some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This section of Kaweah River - North Fork is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V+ section. The beautiful scenery of Tulare County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Kaweah River - North Fork. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows during the   winter for Kaweah River - North Fork tend to be in the 30's. Kaweah River - North Fork gets a typical amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
