It slows down in the summer and gets very rocky but it's a fun run even then. Great exercise and spending some quality     time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in California are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
