The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section of Kings River - North Fork in Fresno County is 3 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This river system is full of great
paddling stretches, the Dinkey Creek to Main Kings Confluence stretch is just one of them. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and
over. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beauty of the Central Sierra Nevada is a great plus for this river. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that.
