You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up
quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other places. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for a real
wilderness adventure. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California are harder than the national norm, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Iron Gate Dam to Sarah Totten Camp Ground section is the only paddling section along Klamath River. The beautiful Siskiyou Mountains scenery is an added bonus.
