If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside California you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The wonderful Siskiyou County scenery and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. This stretch of Klamath River is 36 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III section of whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular
destination. Whitewater paddling here in the Klamath Mountains is a great experience. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so better bring your camping gear along. There are a few other
sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here.
