The Sarah Totten Campground to Happy Camp section of Klamath River in California is 36 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The nature scenery of California and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because
it is a very popular destination. Whitewater paddling here in the Klamath Mountains is a great experience. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river
system, the Sarah Totten Campground to Happy Camp stretch is one of them. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners.
